About Us:
Street Block Entertainment's founder
is Pulla as he is known in Dorchester. He is a "Jack of All Trades"
growing up in the music industry. He writes his own Rap music,
creates mixtapes and produces his own music, collaborates with
other local artists and now creates his own mix tapes. In this
day and time you have to have more then one skill and pulla is
a SURE package in one rapper/dj /producer just like kanye to jayz.
Once he has completed a mixtape CD, he distributes it around the
neighborhood through local businesses.
Pulla is a legend when it comes to the Boston hip hop scene. He
has earned his stripes from the street growing up in the rough
parts of Dorchester and Roxbury.
Pulla always had a fondness for music growing up. As he became
older, he performed with the P.C. Crew, RSO, Orange Man and also
had a group called Disko P & the Fresh M.C. He won some local
talent show contests. He also won Boston's best human beat box
award. Some of the artists that have inspired him are P.Diddy,
Master P and Jayz. These three artists have inspired him to take
his skills to the next level because these guys are businessmen
as well as artists. Later on with more experience under his belt,
Pulla became more interested in producing music and making his
own beats. He has also performed on the Boston Goes Def album,
as well as battling Biz Markie and performing with LL Cool J and
Krs One. If that wasn't enough, he has performed with Rehabs,
out of Atlanta who was on the Martin Lawrence Blue Streak movie
soundtrack.
Following in the footsteps of his inspired artists, Pulla took
his "Jack of All Trades" motto to the next level. He created a
company called Street Block Entertainment. Not only does he promote
himself with his mixtapes, but he also collaborates with other
artists and produces mixtape CD's that are distributed to local
convenient stores and businesses.
The entertainment company he founded is multi-faceted. From producing
artists, creating mixtapes, photography, and marketing the CD's
to the neighborhood, his company keeps very busy. This year alone
he has locally distributed 19 mix tapes.
His production company is always on the lookout for new talent
and is working to help promote artists with free exposure CD's.
His company pays to help young and upcoming artists on the streets
by giving them exposure. He can't help everyone, but he has a
vested interest in doing what he can to help support the neighborhood
kids. His short-term goal is to find a distribution company that
would help get his CD's out to a wider range of people whether
nationally or in other major U.S. cities. He would also like to
host talent shows or a free exposure show with the talent he represents
at a local venue.
